In April 2009, the Swine flu exploded onto the international scene with intense interest generated in the media and blogosphere. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control has taken a lead with respect to information dissemination, and with its international partners - including Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada - explains what people can do to keep informed and to protect
themselves when travelling.
In Canada, as of April 26th, there were 6 confirmed national cases, two in British Columbia and four in Nova Scotia. (For general information, see the PHAC Factsheet).
