John Willinsky, Khosla Family Professor at Stanford and a friend of Open Medicine, and Andrew Feenberg, Canada Research Chair in Philosophy of Technology at SFU, gave presentations recently about the spirit of openness as it relates to critical theory of the last century. If you missed John's and Andrew's work during Open Access week, don't worry: it’s now online.

Stevan Harnad has made available a video in which he talks about open access (OA), OA mandates, OA advantages, and scholarly impact metrics in the OA era. OCLC Research has also released a video in which Johan Bollen discusses usage data, scholarly metrics, and recommender systems.
